It was a fast and intense game between the Helena Bighorns and Bozeman Icedogs Saturday night. What looked to be an unsuccessful overtime and a predicted shootout coming, Helena was able to put one in Bozeman’s net with only one second left in overtime. Goals for Helena were scored by Jeffrey Hershberger (Chase Berg), Clint Isakson (Chase Berg), and the OT winner by Joe Viox (Mason Blair). Bighorn’s goalie Nathan McAlpine was able to block 23 of Bozeman’s 25 shots on net.
Helena will head to Sheridan next weekend for back-to-back games against the Sheridan Hawks on October 17th and 18th. They will host the Gillette Wild at home on October 24th, and the Badlands Sabres on October 25th.
