Saturday night’s game was a celebration of not only Christmas, but also a Bighorns win. Our teddy bear toss was successful, stuffing over 15 boxes for Toys For Tots. Helena represented in their ugly Christmas sweater jerseys, and those jerseys will be sold this week at Play It Again Sports. Goals for Helena were scored by Cal Kellenberg (Mason Smith, Cameron Kimmerly), Cal Kellenberg (Blake Chapman), Caden Feinstein, Braden Davis (Kade Pareja, Caden Feinstein), Mason Blair (Austin Tyler, Cameron Kimmerly), Fischer Nicolet, Austin Uecker (Garrett Lindsey), and Braden Davis (Cameron Kimmerly, Joe Viox). Returning Bighorn’s goalie Branson Appelman was solid in net, only letting one of Butte’s 18 shots through.
Helena will head to Minnesota next for a showcase in Blaine, then will head home for the holiday break.
