HELENA, MT- This Saturday evening the Helena Bighorns will host the Missoula Maulers at the Helena Ice Arena.  This weekend will mark the first time this season the two teams will meet in the Queen City.

The Bighorns are currently undefeated with an unblemished 6-0 record and stand alone atop the AWHL standings board.  Missoula currently sits in second place with a 5-0-0-1 record, their only loss being a 3-2 shootout thriller to the Bighorns just three weeks ago in the Maulers' season opener in Missoula.

Saturday's game versus the Maulers looks to be an even match-up as both teams have dominated their opponents thus far.  In just six games, the Bighorns have scored 38 goals and have only allowed 9, just slightly ahead of the Maulers 36 scored goals and 12 goals given up.

Collectively, the two teams have 15 of the top 24 players in league statistics (7 on Helena, 8 on Missoula).

The Bighorns are led by Helena captain and AWHL points leader Ryan Parkhouse. Parkhouse is off to a fast start this season scoring 12 goals and recording 5 assists in his first 6 games for 17 points. They also feature 2 of the league's top 5 goalies in Trey Flesch and Jett Salinas.

The Maulers are led by forward Dillon Bogart and his team leading 8 goals (3 game winners) and 4 assists.  Brandon Newsome, the Missoula and AWHL-leading netminder, will bring with him to Helena his .958 save percentage and looks to keep intact his undefeated 3-0 record (two shutouts) on the year.

Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early at the Helena Ice Arena for this premiere match-up. Tickets are only $9 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, students with valid ID, and youth 15 and under.  Walk-up tickets can be purchased at the Helena Ice Arena Ticket Box Office, or by calling the Bighorns Ticket Hotline at (406) 457-2817, and by logging onto
