Tracy turned in an impressive campaign with the Big Blue last season, amassing 18 goals and 53 assists in 41 games and his presence in the goal mouth was felt by many opposing goaltenders. The 6'3" 225lb. center turned in an impressive showing at the 2011 Global Showcase in Las Vegas, which was enough for the Drumheller brass to make the committment.

The big center, who hails from Burbank, CA, joins Anthony Petruzzelli in making the leap to the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

"Trevor is a big bodied guy who has incredibly soft hands," says Helena Bighorns Head Coach, Scott Cunningham. "He is a true on ice force when he puts his mind to it."

Tracy was a big part of a Bighorns team who battled through a tough league playoff series with Missoula before eventually making their way through a tough field at the USA Hockey National tournament. His puck control and ability to ward off opponents is something that Bighorns President, Mike Butters, sees as good tools to possess as Tracy makes his way north of the border. "Trevor is a dangerous player when he commits to it. I have seen him take control of games on his own and that is something you don't see a lot at this level."

The Bighorns 11th Annual training camp opens August 25th. Cunningham says the graduation of Tracy means that some others will have to step up. "Trevor was a big part of our success last season. With him at a higher level, we are expecting some of our returners and new players to step in and fill the void."

Bighorns season ticket are now on sale and anyone signing up for their tickets prior to September 2nd will receive a Helena Bighorns seat cushion. Call the Bighorm Ticket Hotline or log onto www.helenabighorns.com for more information.
