Helena ended the weekend with a couple of easy wins, sweeping the Quake on home ice this past weekend at Steed Arena.
Friday’s game ended in a 7-0 win for Helena. Goals for the Bighorns were scored by Jason Hammett (Chase Berg), Ty Schell (Austin Uecker), Austin Uecker (Jason Hammett, Caden Feinstein), Garrett Lindsey (Caden Feinstein, Jeffrey Hershberger), Owen Gruener (Caden Feinstein), Warren Ryser (unassisted), and Ty Schell (unassisted). Branson Appelman shut out the Quake, stopping all 17 shots on his net.
Saturday’s game landed Appelman another shutout, with 10 saves, giving the Bighorns a 6-0 victory. Helena goals were scored by Caden Feinstein (Finn Theriault), Chase Berg (unassisted), Ty Schell (Austin Uecker), Ty Schell (Sam Williamson), Caden Feinstein (Ty Schell), and Marcus Ray (unassisted).
