Helena additionally got points from Bryan Knesel, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Blake Babineau also scored for Helena. Other players who recorded assists for Helena were Johnny Bonta, who had two and Ryan Daugherty, Jarrett Scheibel, and Gavin Lubin, who each chipped in one.
Wooster forced Helena goalie Grant Martens to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Wooster\’s penalty kill managed to stymie Helena\’s power play, giving up only one goal while playing with a man down. Wooster was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 78 penalty minutes.
Wooster was helped by Chris Hubbard, who registered one goal. Hubbard scored 15:44 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Helena. Nick Tobey picked up the assist. Wooster also got a goal from Christian Miller as well. More assists for Wooster came via Brad Sneed, who had one.
Grant Martens made 34 saves for Helena on 36 shots. Team\’s Cody Vanthournout and Lubin were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Wooster\’s Joe Morgan stopped 26 shots out of the 30 that he faced. For Wooster, Tyler Houmard was ejected from the game.
