Helena’s last road trip and final game of the regular season had them coming on strong, with a huge 6-1 defeat over the Bozeman Icedogs, eliminating them from the last open playoff spot.
Goals for Helena were scored by Hunter Coulombe (Austin Tyler), G’bari Mayers (Garrett Lindsey, Chase Berg), Hunter Coulombe, Colin Becker (Jeffrey Hershberger), Caden Feinstein (Ty Schell, Clint Isakson), and Austin Uecker (Caden Feinstein, Ty Schell). Bighorn’s goalie Branson Appelman saved 38 of 39 shots on his net.
Helena is now headed for playoffs and will face the Badlands Sabres in the first round. Game one will be Wednesday, March 12th in Rapid City, game two will be Friday, March 14th in Helena, and game three, if necessary, will be on Saturday, March 15th in Helena.
