Helena’s road games this past weekend led to them facing their first loss, which they didn’t take lightly, as they fought hard in their second game against Bozeman to come out with a strong win.
Friday’s game ended in a 1-0 win for the Icedogs, with Helena goalie Jesse Schindel letting only one out of Bozeman’s 12 shots slide through into the net. Helena had 50 shots on net, but no luck with scoring.
Saturday’s game ended in success for the Bighorns, winning 4-0 against the Icedogs, and Helena goalie Gabe Swanson tacked on another shutout this season, saving all of Bozeman’s 18 shots against him. Goals for Helena were scored by Andrew Deskin (Logan Powers, Gavyn Lund), Tyler Alldredge (Darby McCarthy), Braden Cunningham (Harlan Wojtusik), and Camden Cunningham (Tyler Bloom, Gavyn Lund).
Helena spends this weekend at home, with Friday and Saturday games against the Badlands Sabres. Doors open each night at 6:00pm and the games start at 7:05pm each night. Tickets are available online, at Play It Again Sports-Helena, and at the door before gametime.
