The weekend started out with a tough loss for the Bighorns on Friday night, but Saturday’s victory was a good fought battle to get a win for the weekend.

Friday’s game had Helena headed to Butte.  The game started off strong for Helena, with the 2nd period ending in a 3-1 lead for the Bighorns.  The Cobras had a strong 3rd period with 3 goals and ended the game with a 4-3 win over the Bighorns.  Goals scored by the Bighorns were by Tyler Alldredge (Tyler Bloom, Dylan Cunningham), Tyler Alldredge (Harlan Wojtusik, Tyler Bloom), and Darby McCarthy (Cade Holland, Derek Rassell).

Saturday’s game was another packed house at the Helena Ice Arena, and the game again started off strong for Helena.  After the 2nd period the Bighorns had a 3-0 lead over the Cobras.  The Cobras came back in the 3rd period, but it wasn’t enough to get the win, and the game ended in a 5-2 victory for Helena.  Goals by Helena were scored by Tyler Alldredge (Garrett Bogan, Tyler Bloom), Harlan Wojtusik (Joe Feamster, Owen Ramsay), Harlan Wojtusik (Thomas Hollon, Owen Ramsay), Braden Cunningham (unassisted), and Thomas Hollon (Tyler Bloom).

1889 Coffeehouse was Saturday’s game night sponsor, and they have offered to give $100 for every goal scored over the weekend to charity.  With 8 goals total, they will be donating $800.00 to the Bob Greene Memorial Fund.

The Bighorns next game is at home, this Wednesday, November 23rd against the Great Falls Americans.  This is a rescheduled game from the cancelled game on November 5th.  The doors open at 6:00pm, and the puck drops at 7:05pm.  Get your tickets at Play It Again Sports-Helena, online at Tickets for Helena Bighorns vs Great Falls Americans | vivenu, or at the door.
