Helena downs Glacier, 5-0

Blake Babineau tallied two points to lead the Helena Bighorns to a 5-0 victory over Glacier.

Helena forced Glacier\’s goaltenders to work between the pipes, firing 38 shots and forcing 33 saves. Ryan Lund made 22 stops and Nolan Slager made 11. The Bighorns excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Helena additionally got points from Brandon Mills, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Brandt Miller, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Helena also had goals scored by Kendall Bolen-Porter and Kyler Chartier, who each put in one. In addition, Helena received assists from Nick Trefry, who had one.

Glacier stifled Helena\’s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Bighorns\’ Adam Ranck stopped 17 shots out of the 17 that he faced. Helena incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Glacier incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
