Coming off of two losses to the Maulers last weekend, the Bighorns were looking to redeem themselves against the Bozeman Icedogs…and they didn’t disappoint. The first goal of the evening came less than two minutes in from Beau Ricketts. Bozeman only had seven shots on goal for the period but wasn’t able to connect on any of them. Halfway into the period Drew Ingram scored the Bighorns’ second goal. With less than three minutes left in the period Bryan Fiol scored his first goal of the evening and the first period ended 3-0.

Bozeman opened the second period with their only goal, coming from Colin Perley. The Bighorns answered with four more goals of their own, with Ryan Parkhouse and Damon Hanson earning their first goals of the evening and Bryan Fiol completing his hat trick. The second period ended with the Bighorns holding a comfortable 7-1 lead.

The Bighorns first scoring opportunity came almost seven minutes into the third period with a power play goal by Mason Wade. Bozeman had only ten shots on goal which Bighorns goalie Jett Salinas easily stopped. The final goal of the evening came with just one second left on the clock, and Wade cinched a 9-1 win for the Bighorns with his second goal of the evening.

The Bighorns will travel to Bozeman tomorrow to face the Icedogs once again. The Bighorns will be on home ice once more when they take on the Great Falls Americans on Friday, December 2, 2011. The Bighorns are partnering with the Lewis & Clark Humane Society throughout the holiday season and will be hosting a variety of activities to benefit the Society. The Helena Ice Arena will be hosting a pet parade for the Society on December 2nd featuring several dogs looking for their forever home.
