Saturday night’s game wasn’t off to a great start for Helena, with the Americans having the lead most of the game. The third period had Great Falls up 3-1, but Helena made a surprising comeback and was able to tie it up, taking it to overtime. Overtime held no success for either team, leading to a shootout. Jason Hammett was able to secure the only puck in the net during the shootout, giving the Bighorns a 4-3 victory. Goals for Helena were scored by Jason Hammet (Austin Uecker, Finn Theriault), Trey Pareja (Caden Feinstein, Colin Becker), and Chase Berg (Cam Young), and the shootout goal by Jason Hammett. Goaltender Tyler Miller was strong in net for the Bighorns, stopping 38 of the 41 shots, and giving Great Falls no success in the shootout.
