Theo Campe scored eighteen minutes into the first period, giving the Bighorns the first goal of the evening and the lead over Billings. After the first intermission, the momentum was still in Helena’s favor as two more goals were added in the opening minutes of the second. This included a shorthanded goal from Christian Axelsson, assisted by Ben Henne.

Damon Hanson added an insurance power-play goal in the third period. The defense tightened up and only allowed 3 shots on goal in the third period. Jett Salinas got the win in goal, completing another shut-out performance recording 17 saves on 17 shots.
