The Butte Irish were no match for the Bighorns last night, losing 8-1 on their home ice, and allowing Helena to take home a second victory for the weekend. Bighorn’s goalie John Nanos started in net for the second night in a row, stopping 17 of the 18 shots on his net. Goals for Helena were scored by Ty Schell (Garrett Lindsey), Chase Berg (unassisted), Blake Chapman (Chase Berg, Austin Uecker), G’Bari Mayers (Garrett Lindsey), Chase Berg (Bryer Lang, Blake Chapman), Chase Berg (Ty Schell), and Tyler Parsons (Breck Buettner, Mason Blair).
Helena will host the Irish next weekend for their home opener on Saturday, September 13th at Steed Arena. Doors open at 6:00pm, puck drop is 7:05pm.
