Independent Record- Bryan Fiol scored two goals, and Dalton Bowles and Alex DeWitz each scored once Saturday night as the Helena Bighorns remained unbeaten in American West Hockey League play with a 4-1 victory on the road against the Bozeman Icedogs.
Fiol put the visitors on the scoreboard first with a goal at the 7:26 mark of the first period off an assist from Brandon Rumble. Bowles added his goal for the Bighorns (10-0) less than 4 minutes later off an assist from Brian Skillicorn. Midway through the second period, Fiol netted his second goal on assists from Damon Hanson and Michael Sullivan, and Bozeman (4-6) responded 4 minutes later on a goal by Zach Baker. DeWitz finished the Helena rout with a powerplay goal at the 15:25 mark in the third period off assists from Kevin Kassulat and Mark Palacios.
Trey Flesch stopped 25 Bozeman shots to collect the victory in net, while Icedogs goalie Anthony Militello notched 29 saves.
