It was a hard-fought battle this past weekend for Helena, but unfortunately the Bighorns couldn’t come out with a win this past weekend, making it their first weekend of the season with double losses.
Friday’s game had Sheridan in quite the lead, with the 3rd period having Sheridan up 5 goals against Helena. Helena made quite the comeback with 4 goals in the 3rd but could not pull off enough goals for the win, with the game ending in a 7-5 win for Sheridan. Goals for Helena were scored by Harlan Wojtusik (Dylan Cunningham), Tyler Alldredge (Matteo Caputo, Tyler Ownby), TJ Norris (Dylan Cunningham, Garrett Bogan), Lyndon Orr (Garrett Bogan, Braden Cunningham), and TJ Norris (Andrew Deskin, Zach Turner).
Saturday’s game had Helena starting off strong, and taking a 4-3 lead after the 2nd period, but the Hawks had a strong 3rd period with 3 goals, and Helena couldn’t get another past the net. Saturday’s game ended in a 6-4 win for Sheridan.
