Game two of the playoff series between the Helena Bighorns and Badlands Sabres was a battle, but the Bighorns showed pure strength and determination, taking a 5-1 win over the Sabres, and forcing a game three.
Goals for Helena were scored by Austin Uecker (Ty Schell, Jeffrey Hershberger), Austin Tyler (Trey Pareja, Hunter Coulombe), Finn Theriault (Jason Hammett, Marcus Fritel), Clint Isakson (Austin Uecker), and Trey Pareja (Owen Gruener). Bighorn’s goalie Branson Appelman was able to defend his net, letting only 1 of the 21 shots in.
Helena and Badlands will battle it out tonight for the final game of the series, and the winner of tonight’s game will move on to round two, to face either the Sheridan Hawks or the Great Falls Americans.
