The Bighorns secured another two wins this past weekend, both over the Butte Cobras.
Friday’s game was held in Butte, and the Bighorns went home with an 8-4 victory. Dylan Romanow held the net for the Bighorns, with 39 shots and 25 saves. Goals scored by the Bighorns were Liam Bland (Tylor Greene), Sam Feamster (Liam Bland, Tylor Greene), Tyler Bloom (Taber Gutschick, Tylor Greene), Erik Gibboney (Adam Harvey), Dylan Cunningham (Taber Gutschick, Erik Gibboney), Logan Matheny (Erik Gibboney, Adam Harvey), Garrett Bogan (Adam Harvey), and Liam Bland (Tylor Greene).
Saturday’s game was held at the Bighorns home ice, hosting their annual “Teddy Bear Toss” with the proceeds going to Toys For Tots. Logan Matheny scored the first goal for the Bighorns, and 12 boxes of teddy bears were collected off of the ice. During the 1st intermission, owners Mike Greene and Jed Snyder presented Toys For Tots with $4,000, donated by local sponsors; Helena Cycle Center, Precision Heating and Air Conditioning, and an anonymous donor. The Bighorns ended the game with a 6-1 win over Butte. Goals score by the Bighorns were by Logan Matheny (Tyler Bloom, Harlan Wojtusik), Liam Bland (Sam Feamster, Taber Gutschick), Liam Bland (Sam Feamster, Tylor Greene), Tyler Bloom (Taber Gutschick, Adam Harvey), Andrew MacCallum (Harlan Wojtusik, John Peterson), and Tylor Greene (Taber Gutschick, Sam Feamster). Eric Buchholz stood strong in net with 26 shots and 25 saves.
The Helena Bighorns play their last home game, and last game before Christmas this Friday at the Helena Ice Arena, against the Butte Cobras. Doors open at 6:00pm, puck drops at 7:05pm. Get your tickets online or at the door.
