The Bighorns scored the first goal of the evening eight minutes into the first period with an unassisted power play goal by Ryan Parkhouse. The Bighorns would like to thank all of our fans who helped make out Teddy Bear Toss a success! Helena’s Bryan Foil followed up with the team’s second goal almost seven minutes later. The Bulls answered with a goal of their own a little over a minute later when a cross-checking penalty by the Bighorns gave them a power play opportunity. The Bulls scored a second goal a few minutes later and the period ended tied at 2-2.

The second period saw both teams battling to take the lead from the other. Billings managed to scored twice in the period but the Bighorns were unable to answer with any of their own. The second period ended with the Bulls leading 4-2.

The Bighorns came out in the third period looking to make a comeback. An early goal by Beau Ricketts brought the Bighorns within one point of the Bulls and what followed as an intense game of hockey. Despite more than twenty shots on goal, the Bighorns were unable to tie the game and the Bulls gave the Bighorns their third loss of the season. Despite the loss, the Bighorns are still ranked number one in the AWHL standings by one point.
