The first goal came immediately, a quick shot by Ryan Parkhouse giving the Bighorns a power play goal assisted by the newly acquired Drew Ingram and defense Levi Blom. The Bighorns came up with three more goals (Kyle Martin, Kevin Kassulat and Mark Palacios) during the first period while the Bulls where only able to answer with one goal of their own.
After a rough first period, the Bulls needed step up offensively. However, they were unable to score again until the 15-minute mark of the second period. Parkhouse quickly returned the favor for his second goal of the evening, leaving the score at 5-2 going into the second intermission. A Lack of penalties gave neither team the opportunity to score a power play goal throughout the entire game.
Despite having an almost guaranteed victory, the Bighorns didn’t celebrate early. They continued to work hard and came up with another four goals during the third period. Parkhouse completed his hat trick early in the period and allowed Wyatt Winfield and Alex DeWitz to contribute to the Bulls thrashing. Never one to be happy with JUST a hat trick, Parkhouse scored a fourth goal to give the Bighorns a final score of 9. In goal, Jett Salinas did an impressive job keeping the Bulls to just two goals for the evening. Not surprisingly, Parkhouse was named first star of the evening with teammate Drew Ingram taking the second star.
