The Bighorns had a couple of close games, but managed to squeeze out two wins this weekend against the Great Falls Americans and the Bozeman Icedogs.
Friday’s game in Great Falls was a close battle between the two teams, taking it into overtime. The Bighorns came out with a 5-4 win, thanks to an overtime goal by Colin Becker, assisted by Kelton Chadwick. Austin Uecker (Kade Pareja, Trey Pareja), Finn Theriault (Brandon Mcilhany, Cam Young), Kade Pareja (Caden Feinstein, Hunter Coulombe), and Jason Hammett (Austin Uecker), were also credited with goals.
Saturday night’s game in Helena against the Bozeman Icedogs was Helena’s first sellout crowd of the year. With 2,000 fans in the building, the Bighorns pulled off a 3-2 victory over the Icedogs. Bighorn’s goalie Tyler Miller earned the first star of the game, stopping 35 of the 37 shots on his net. Goals for Helena were scored by Finn Theriault (Austin Uecker, Kelton Chadwick), Kade Pareja (Trey Pareja, Kelton Chadwick), and Jason Hammett (Colin Becker, Finn Theriault).
The Bighorns will host the Yellowstone Quake on Friday, January 17th, and Saturday, January 18th. Tickets for those games can be purchased online at Tickets | HELENA BIGHORNS
