Friday night’s game against the Badlands Sabres, was a pretty good start for the Bighorns, leading the game 5-1, until things took a turn in the third period.
The Sabres were able to snag three quick goals in the third, only trailing Helena by a point. Helena held strong until the buzzer and celebrated a 5-4 victory. Goals for Helena were scored by Jason Hammett (Chase Berg), Chase Berg (Jason Hammett, Finn Theriault), Austin Uecker (Kade Pareja), Chase Berg (Jason Hammett, Warren Ryser), and Finn Theriault (Kade Pareja). Bighorn’s goalie Branson Appleman stopped 28 of the 32 shots on his net.
