xHelena rolls over Billings, 5-1

The Billings Bulls had trouble finding ways to stop the xHelena Bighorns, which beat Bulls, 5-1.

xHelena was paced by Dylan Webster, who tallied one goal. Webster scored 18:02 into the first period to make the score 2-1 xHelena. Damon Hanson provided the assist.

The Bighorns excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Billings was unable to stop xHelena from sending pucks towards the net, and the Bighorns eventually piled up 50 shots on goal.

xHelena also got points from Parker Olson, who also had one goal and one assist, Logan Henne, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Austin Loes, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Matt Mohar, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for xHelena came via Sebastian Hansson, who had one and Corbin Belling and Brandt Miller, who contributed two a piece.

The the Bulls penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled five minors and two majors for 30 minutes in penalty time. Billings had been averaging 21.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Bulls put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow xHelena to score on any of its four power plays.

Billings was led by Tristen Heinrichs, who scored the team\’s only goal. Heinrichs scored 17:01 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Orri Haman assisted on the tally.

Austin Brihn rejected 18 shots on goal for the Bighorns. xHelena ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major. Daniel Oordt recorded 45 saves for the Bulls. Billings ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Matt Myers was ejected from the game.
