The Bighorns struggled against the Quake 8-3 in home game

Nick Battaglia came up big, stopping 35 of 41 shots throughout the game. The Yellowstone Quake took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Cole Stewart.

Ian Doner chipped in with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Riley Buller delivered for his team with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist).

In the first period, Buller opened the scoring for Yellowstone with a goal at 0:47 with a helper from defenseman Walworth. Groskops answered for the Bighorns with a goal at 7:02 with helpers from his teammates Sullivan and Noel. Doner answered for the Quake with a goal at 14:02 with assists from his linemates, Stewart and Pelto. Buller quickly followed with a goal at 14:53 with assists from Walworth and Moore.

In the second period, Stewart netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:00 with helpers from Doner and Stewart. Doner quickly followed with a goal at 5:21 with a helper from Stewart. Ford quickly followed with a goal at 6:22 with assists from his linemates, Proffitt and Johnson. Seitz answered for Helena with a goal at 8:32 with assists from his linemates, Cline and Scheibel. Lindberg put in a goal at 14:30 with a helper from defenseman Rieger. Sievek quickly followed with a goal at 15:32 with assists from Johnson and Ford.

During the third, Moore scored a goal at 10:31 with helpers from his linemates, Willoughby and Buller.

This loss brings the Helena Bighorns’ record to (25-12-3-0).
