The Bighorns struggled against the Quake 5-2 in home game

The Helena Bighorns' defense had a poor night, allowing the Yellowstone Quake 34 shots throughout the game. The Yellowstone Quake took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Ian Doner.

Dane Rieger chipped in with 2 assists. Riley Buller delivered for his team with 2 goals and Cole Stewart contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Kottmeier opened the scoring for Helena with a goal at 17:06 with helpers from Seitz and Rieger. Stewart quickly followed with a goal at 18:28 with helpers from Stewart and Waszczenko.

In the second period, Cline answered for the Bighorns with a goal at 4:13 with assists from teammates Rieger and Lindberg. Ford answered for the Quake with a goal at 6:46 with helpers from his linemates, Proffitt and Johnson. Doner netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:32 with assists from Stewart and Rasmussen.

In the third, Buller scored a goal at 15:01 with helpers from his linemates, Willoughby and Moore. Buller deposited a goal at 19:38 with assists from his linemates, Ford and Johnson.

This loss brings the Helena Bighorns’ record to (2-1-0-0).
