The Bighorns shutout the Icedogs 4-0

The Helena Bighorns’ offense had a big night, peppering the Bozeman Icedogs with 65 shots throughout the game, to go along with Nick Battaglia’s shutout. The Helena Bighorns took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Jarett Scheibel and never looked back.

Kaden Lindberg delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Gavin Cline had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the first period, Scheibel opened the scoring for Helena with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 6:03 with helpers from Noel and Groskops. Lindberg netted a goal at 12:52 with helpers from Kipper and Cline.

In the second, Kottmeier put in a goal at 19:06 with assists from his linemates, Cline and Lindberg.

During the third, Cline scored a goal at 5:33 with helpers from his linemates, Kottmeier and Lindberg.

The Bighorns’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Battaglia’s shutout, as he stopped all 14 of the shots he faced. Battaglia’s counterpart, Orchard, also had a big night, managing to stop 61 of 65, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Helena Bighorns’ record to (23-9-3-0).
