The Bighorns shutout the Americans 4-0

The Helena Bighorns' offense had a big night, peppering the Great Falls Americans with 34 shots throughout the game, to go along with Nick Battaglia's shutout. The Helena Bighorns took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Ben Kottmeier and never looked back.

Hayden Seitz contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Kaden Lindberg delivered for his team with 2 assists.

During the first period, Kottmeier opened the scoring for Helena with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:56 with helpers from teammates Seitz and Solko. Sullivan deposited a goal at 16:48 with helpers from his linemates, Lindberg and Cline.

During the third, Cross netted a goal at 4:47 with assists from Kipper and Lindberg. Seitz scored a goal at 14:51.

Helena’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Battaglia’s shutout, as he stopped all 32 of the shots he faced. Battaglia’s counterpart, Sharp, also had a big night, managing to stop 30 of 34, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Helena Bighorns’ record to (2-0-0-0).
