The Bighorns defeat the Icedogs 4-2

The Helena Bighorns' offense had a big night, peppering the Bozeman Icedogs with 45 shots throughout the game. The Helena Bighorns took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Ben Kottmeier.

Hayden Sietz contributed with 2 goals and Nick Noel chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the second period, Sietz opened the scoring for Helena with a goal at 5:56 with a helper from defenseman Groskops. Mcgarrah answered for Bozeman with a goal at 8:01 with assists from teammates Stokes and Davis. Sietz answered for the Bighorns with a goal at 12:01 with a helper from defenseman Rieger.

In the third, Kottmeier put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 6:38 with an assist from his linemate Noel. Noel netted a goal at 12:32 with helpers from Smith and Dietz. Dulong quickly followed with a goal at 13:51 with assists from Steele and Boje.

Helena’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Berglund as he stopped 16 of the 18 shots he faced. Berglund’s counterpart, Engen, also had a big night, managing to stop 41 of 45, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Helena Bighorns’ record to (9-2-0-0).
