The Bighorns crushed the Junior Bruins 7-4

The Helena Bighorns' offense had a big night, peppering the Missoula Junior Bruins with 48 shots throughout the game. The Helena Bighorns took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Kaden Lindberg.

Kaden Lindberg chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Hayden Seitz contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists). Misha Akatnov had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Vadim Zubkov delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the first, Scheibel opened the scoring for the Bighorns with a goal at 1:17 with helpers from his linemates, Seitz and Cross. Noel netted a goal at 3:53 with helpers from his linemates, Cline and Lindberg. Zubkov finally put Missoula on the board with a goal at 11:41 with assists from his teammates Kirk and Akatnov. Miller scored a goal at 14:02 with helpers from his linemates, Young and Cottle.

During the second period, Cline answered for Helena with a goal at 11:46 with assists from his linemates, Lindberg and Noel.

In the third, Seitz put in a goal at 0:18 with helpers from his linemates, Cross and Scheibel. Dennison answered for the Junior Bruins with a goal at 2:26 with assists from his linemates, Akatnov and Zubkov. Akatnov quickly followed with a goal at 3:40 with helpers from his linemates, Zubkov and Prince. Lindberg answered for the Bighorns with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 10:04 with assists from Groskops and Cline. Gavrilenko put in a goal at 15:29 with helpers from Pierce and Groskops. Cross quickly followed with a goal at 15:47 with assists from his linemates, Seitz and Scheibel.

Helena’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Brewer’s big night as he stopped 35 of the 39 shots he faced. Brewer’s counterpart, Thomas, also had a big night, managing to stop 41 of 48, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Helena Bighorns’ record to (24-10-3-0).
