Lindberg's big night helped the Bighorns crush the Junior Bruins 9-2

Kaden Lindberg had a big night with 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists) as the Helena Bighorns crushed the Missoula Junior Bruins 9-2 in a home game at Glacier Ice Rink in Helena. Furthermore, the Helena Bighorns' offense had a big night, peppering Missoula with 35 shots throughout the game. The Helena Bighorns took the lead early in the second on a goal from Luc Cross.

Luc Cross chipped in with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Gavin Cline delivered for his team with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist). Misha Akatnov contributed with 2 goals.

In the first, Akatnov opened the scoring for the Junior Bruins with a goal at 10:51 with helpers from his linemates, Zubkov and Dennison. Scheibel answered for the Bighorns with a goal at 14:59 with assists from Groskops and Kottmeier. Lindberg netted a goal at 18:41 with helpers from his teammates Sullivan and Rieger. Akatnov quickly followed with a goal at 19:26 with assists from Miller and Kirk.

During the second period, Cross answered for the Bighorns with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:37 with a helper from his linemate Lindberg. Cline scored a goal at 8:12 with assists from Lindberg and Rieger. Niskanen deposited a goal at 10:55 with helpers from his linemates, Kottmeier and Sullivan. Cross put in a goal at 15:02 with assists from his linemates, Lindberg and Cline. Rieger quickly followed with a goal at 16:16 with helpers from Lindberg and Gavrilenko.

In the third period, Cline scored a goal at 1:12 with assists from his linemates, Cross and Klco. Klco deposited a goal at 16:03 with helpers from Kipper and Gavrilenko.

Helena’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Brewer’s big night as he stopped 28 of the 30 shots he faced. Brewer’s counterpart, Yoder, also had a big night, managing to stop 18 of 25, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Helena Bighorns’ record to (30-13-4-0).
