Helena downs All-Stars, 5-1

Brian Skillicorn grabbed two points to lead the Helena Bighorns to a 5-1 victory over All-Stars.

Helena forced All-Stars\’ netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, taking 34 shots and forcing 29 saves. Sean Kelly made seven stops and Pierre Gustafsen made eight. The Bighorns excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Helena additionally got points from Corbin Belling, who also tallied two goals and one assist to lead the team in points and Brandt Miller, who also registered one goal and one assist. Jacob Wolter also scored for Helena. Other players who recorded assists for Helena were Parker Olson, who had two and Theo Campe, Damon Hanson, and Danny Case, who each chipped in one.

All-Stars was led by Jimmy Tisch, who scored the team\’s only goal. Tisch scored 17:47 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Helena. Jonas Svehn picked up the assist.

Alek Lazarski took the win and made nine saves before being replaced by Austin Brihn who made 12 saves. Helena incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. All-Stars incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
