HELENA BLANKS BOZEMAN FOR SECOND TIME IN A ROW

The Bighorns were overpowering from the start, stifling any chance of offense for the Icedogs. The scoring display began when Danny Fazio put the puck in the net with less than two minutes to go before the first intermission.

The Bighorns started to pull away with a three goal second period, with another goal from Fazio at the 1:32 mark.  More of the same occurred in the third as 6 more goals went on the board, adding insult to injury.

Theo Campe, Danny Fazio and Corbin Belling lead the scoring with 2 goals apiece. Dylan Webster was the assist leader with 3, and added a goal himself.

Troy Turpin had a fairly quiet night in the net seeing little pressure. Bozeman only had 11 shots on goal against Helena’s astounding 40.

Helena heads back to the Helena Ice Arena tonight to face the Yellowstone Quake for their home opener at 7:35.  The Helena Ice Arena is hosting a block party from 5:00 to 7:30 in the Arena parking lot that is free and open to the public. Another matchup with the Quake in Cody on Saturday concludes the weekend.
