Helena survived a determined comeback attempt by Bozeman on the way to a 5-4 win.
Helena got the win thanks to a great game by Ryan Daugherty, who had two goals and two assists. Daugherty scored the first of his two goals at 9:34 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Helena. Tom Pratl provided the assist. Daugherty\’s next tally made the score 5-2 Helena with 6:02 left in the second period. Helena had taken the advantage when Bozeman\’s Zach Frasier got sent off for head contact. Brandon Mills assisted on the tally.
Helena was held back by its power play unit, which tallied two goals on nine chances.
