BIGHORNS WIN FIRST GAME IN HOME-AND-HOME SERIES

The Bighorns didn’t waste any time scoring on the Icedogs. Just three minutes into the first period, Michael Sullivan scored an unassisted goal on Bozeman goalie Anthony Militello. The Bighorns second goal for the evening came from Bryan Fiol twelve minutes into the period. A couple of Bighorns penalties gave the Icedogs a chance to score but they were unable to convert and the period ended 2-0.

Bozeman came out of the second period looking to get on the board, and was able to achieve their goal nine minutes into the second period. The Bighorns answered with a goal of their own from Kevin Kassulat four minutes after the Bozeman goal. Neither team was able to score again, going into the third period the score was 3-1.

Beau Ricketts lit the lamp once more for the Bighorns four minutes into the third period. An aggressive offensive saw the Bighorns getting twenty shots on goal while a high energy defense allowed the Icedogs only five shots on goals. The Bighorns final goal of the night came from team captain Ryan Parkhouse with less than three minutes left in the game. Despite a few Bighorns penalties, Bozeman was unable to score again and the final score was 5-1.
