Bighorns Honored at Brewers Baseball Game

The Brewers deemed last night as "Titletown" night as they honored both the Helena Bighorns Hockey Team and the Carrol College Fighting Saints football team who both captured a national title in their respective sport.

Many Bighorn supporters were on hand to enjoy the celebration as the Bighorns had their USA Hockey Silver Cup National trophy on hand for photo opportunities. Also on hand were most of the Bighorns staff and their families to enjoy the fun.

Bighorns Head Coach, Scott Cunningham, represented the team in the games opening ceremonies by throwing our the first pitch. Cunningham was appreciative of the honor and sailed his pitch right into the glove of the Brewers catcher. "My son asked me why I didn't throw the heat," joked Cunningham. "All in all, it was a great time and the Brewers were gracious hosts."

The Big Blue Crew don't have much of the summer left as the main camp will be taking place on August 24-27 at the Helena Ice Arena. Bighorns President, Mike Butters, is excited to have the 2011-2012 season approaching. "We have a lot of things to celebrate and look forward to this year. While we have enjoyed our summer, the work has already begun on this season's squad."

Season tickets for the 2011-2012 season are now on sale to the general public. Anyone who orders their season tickets before Sept. 2 will receive a Bighorns seat cushion. To order season tickets, fans can call the Bighorns ticket office at 457-2817 or order them online at www.helenabighorns.com.
