Bighorns fans had to wait more than ten minutes into the game before seeing their first goal of the evening, with Danny Fazio earning it on assists by Cody Blom and Trevor Tracy. Teammate Drew Ingram widened the lead with a goal four minutes later. Neither team scored again in the period and the Bulls entered the first intermission trailing the Bighorns 2-0.
Ingram earned his second goal of the evening just eighteen seconds into the second period. The Bulls finally earned their lone goal of the evening a little over six minutes later despite outshooting the Bighorns 26-9 in the period. Theo Campe answered with an unassisted Bighorns goal seven minutes later to leave the Bighorns three points ahead of the Bulls going into the second intermission.
Campe ended up earning his second goal of the evening more than seven minutes into the third period. Teammate Danny Fazio was quick to follow with his second goal just two minutes later. Rounding up the scoring for the evening, Trevor Tracy scored with just four minutes left in the game to help the Bighorns defeat the Billings Bulls, 7-1.
The Bighorns will be on home ice once again Saturday evening in a highly anticipated matchup with the Missoula Maulers. Fans can visit the Helena Carpet Garage at their 2940 Prospect Ave. location on Saturday, February 25 between 12:00 and 1:00 to meet Billy Bighorn and receive a free ticket to the night’s game. Carpet Garage is also inviting fans to sign up to participate in the Bighorns’ Trivia Challenge. The winner of the Challenge will receive $1,000 worth of floor covering from Carpet Garage.
