5-1 WIN IN BILLINGS MAKES THE BIGHORNS TWO FOR TWO

Cody Blom started the night off with a goal less than four minutes into the game. Teammate Alex DeWitz made the score 2-0 with his first goal of the evening fifteen seconds later. The Bighorns’ third goal came twelve minutes later from Ben Henne on a power play opportunity. A little over a minute later Devin Smith scored another power play goal to give the Bighorns a 4-0 lead going into the first intermission.

The only goal of the second period came from Alex DeWitz eight minutes into the period. The Bulls outshot the Bighorns for the period but goalie Trey Flesch stopped every one. The Bulls finally got in a goal with less than thirty seconds left in the game to make the final score 5-1.

Tonight’s win makes the Bighorns two for two in the series. If they win the next two games, the Bighorns will win the series. The two teams will play game three on Friday in Helena before playing game four in Billings on Saturday.
